Drop Resistor on differnt car? contour V6?
ok heres the thing i have a 99 maxima, 95 maxima, and 95 ford contour SE V6. both maximas have the drop resistor mod done and i understand how all the stuff works its just the fact that i cant find the darn resistor on the contour. does anyone have any idea where i can find out exacly where the resistor is on the contour? i dont want to buy a haynes manual or anything and i cant just go to a store and look at one of the books cause there all plastic wrapped. i just thought it would be cool to do the DR mod on somthing besides the maxima to see how it reacts. any help is awsome -Ryan

to the thread starter, the contour's transmission is hydraulic, so no real electrical controls for the valve body.

Yeah really. You should pay attention to people's location before you go passing judgement on whether or not they were joking around. And our trannies are hydraulic yet we have a DR. Hmm... I'm not very familiar with various types of auto and really, I don't care.

D=.5GT^2
D=.5(-32ft/s)(5)^2=400ft
Last time I check a 1/4 mile was 1320ft. Seems it would take 16.5 seconds for it to do the 1/4 off a cliff and that isn't accounting for air resistance.
Yes, Contours do suck. A very annoying aquaintance of mine just got an SVT. Its still slow as *****.
