I was just told by a hardcore roadracer/auto-crosser that the Axxis Metalmaster pads i've ordered will fade badly after a few hot labs around a road course. and the road course i am goin on in june is notoriously hard on brakes. i just got this car in january, and i have no intention of careening into a wall at 105 mph cuz i the "performance" brake pads i bought (along with all the other mods im doing to prepare for this) aren't up to the challenge. So, the question is, what pad, available for the maxima, would be more suited to road racing. dust isnt really an issue, because i'd probably end up running the metalmasters on the street and whatever hi-po pad i get on the track and autoX course. of course if i could get 1 pad to fulfill both duties that would be good. Portfield makes a pad for the 4th Gen maxima (non-abs) correct? i think i read that someone has them. what portfield pads are available for the max (i was told R4E for track use and R4S for street use, or just regular old R4 for both). Does anyone have any experience with Carbotech Panthers? Any other pads that will be more suited for racing that anyone can think of? i really dont feel like totalling another car...

thanks in advance
Neal

Porterfield.

And MaximaDriver might even still have a group deal going.
