Cardomain / Spyware

Cardomain / Spyware
I assume some of you may realize cardomain installs spyware/ad ware on your machine when you visit; shows up (Using Ad Aware to scan) as "People On Page" and "Adintelligence", in addition several tracking cookies. To remove this stuff completely, a re-boot is required (after scan).
Just an FYI.
I refuse to use any site that messes with my registry.

Assuming your blocking software is up to date and CAN be up to date on all the latest stuff out there. Pest Patrol did not catch either of these.
Frankly, if you plan to HIDE your crap on my PC, install stuff on my PC that YOU KNOW I won't like, I'm not visiting your site. Ya know?

It is not cardomain. It is a new spyware that replicates itself and installs whenever you start IE, your computer or something else.
I am yet to find a program that removes the source files. They are simply not detected as bad and what happens is when you run the program it picks up the install but the trojan mother is still on your computer and runs whenever a certain event occurs.
Again, not cardomain. You got it elsewhere.
A month or so ago i got something so bad that i ended up reformating. After i broke windows trying to eradicate anything that looks like a source i had marginal success.. but they my system was toast so it was time for drastic measures.
This week the same though i managed to manually clean it. Whatever that thing was last month is kicked my ***.

Re; Firefox. For most users Firefox is awesome. I have a few administrative processes I run thru each day that Firefox isn't completely compatible with, or I'd use it as my default browser. It's good stuff.

one thing you can do is use an ip filter. I use peer gaurdian2. You can tell it what types of addresses to block. I went for six months without even getting a tracking cookie with it. It does slow down sites that do have adware down quite a bit, but it is well worth it.
