Question about HIDs and Projectors

My question is pretty simple. If you get Bi-xenon projectors from lets say an Audi A6 or something, can you get any type of HID's you what, or does it have to be the specific HID's that come with the car?

If so, what type HID's would fit in those projectors?(H4, 9007, 9004 etc..)

For example, if i buy just bi-xenon projectors...and lets say the bulbs that fit in there are H4, can i go on ebay or umnitza or maximabeast, to buy hi/lo 7000K HID's to put in there?

No. Only D2S bulbs will fit in there unless you do some fabricating. I wouldnt use any of those kits out there. They will put out LESS light than an OEM bulb and ballast and have a shorter lifespan. No point in using a hi/low kit anyways if you have a bi-xenon projector.

So its a projector that makes hi/low beam not an HID kit, right?
If I buy any bi-xenon projectors and any D2S bulbs with ballasts, I'll have low beam and high beams?

you just confused me, now is it the housing or is it the bulb that provides the high beam capability?

If you have bi-xenon projectors, the projector is motorized when you flip on the high beams, allowing the light to be directed upwards. The bulb has nothing to do with it.

Wrong. The 9004 fitting will not work with the projector. If the kit is any higher than a 5000k color temp, you will have poor results. Stick with OEM and you'll have awesome output.

Keep reading up on Hidplanet. I saw your thread there. You'll learn eventually!

Just forget about mixing your kit with oem parts. Start over, do it right and sell the old kit!!!
