Car not starting/turning over
Car not starting/turning over
Ok..this problem started last night when I tried to start my car. First the prelude: As I was nearing the car (went on business trip) I went to hit the remote start button, and the car wouldn't start, because my dumbass left it in gear. Ok...now, I pull the car out of gear and proceed to start the car with the key and nothing...car wants to turn over but no cigar. I decided to stay at a hotel cause my flight got in late. I go back to it this morning and more of the same. I orginally thought that I had fried the starter, but it was working and cranking over, the motor wasn't starting though.
Today I have swapped batteries with another car, changed the plugs, checked to ensure that the car was getting fuel, which it is..checked all the fuses and still no go. Now it also seems like the car is getting less juice cause now it doesn't even crank. I find this odd, anyways...any help you can provide would be helpful.

if it seems like its getting less juice the battery is run down more than likely.
I would say that it is a possibility that it jumped time when it cranked, other than that if you have verified fuel and spark I dont know what it could be, possibly a bad crank or cam position sensor.

im slow, had the problem with my stratus. drop your dash, there are two fuses inline under the dash on the ignition if either of them blows the car will free spin and not catch. check to see if there is continuity across those fuses should be on the thick ignition wire or right near your autostart module.

I got the car running after changing the starter, battery, plugs.....I got rid of the platniums and put in coppers and the maxima feels so much better...the only thing is that it feels like its running a bit rough...I'll tackle that when its not raining here. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments!
