6th gen compared to 4th gen
I'm reading an article on MSN Auto's which reviews the 2004 Maxima, and it states it can do 0-60 in a crisp 6.5 seconds. I'm assuming that's for the auto.. Can't 4th gen 5-speeds do 0-60 in 6.6 if I heard correctly? Does this pretty much all have to do with weight if these numbers are correct?

So according to these numbers I can hang in there if I raced a 260hp 6th gen? Just doesn't seem right.. ?

My gut feeling (and my gut feeling only) is that a 4th gen 5-speed would have no problem hanging with an auto 6th gen up to 40 or maybe 60 MPH, but beyond that the superior top-end of the VQ35 would rape us.

They need to learn to drive. Currently the best 1/4 mile for a 6th gen AUTO is 14.3. That's a sub 6-second 0-60. More than enough to embarass any stock 4th gen.
There is not a as big a difference between VQ35 autos and manuals as there is with VQ30 autos and manuals.
