700 dollar paint job at maaco? should i do it or no? post experiences!
you def get what you pay for with paint work. I wouldnt really say macco sucks for painting, but they dont do much for the prep work. the majority of how well the paints going to hold up is in how good the prep work is. i had work done on my max years ago and while the paint didnt look bad you could see almost every sanding marks everywhere. i ended up having to get it redone and prob ended up costing me twice as much if i would have just done it right the first time.
if its a friend of yours that works at maaco, y not have him do any bodywork/prep prior to bringing it to be painted. thatll save you some aggravation, plus if he's anyone at maaco then he could make sure your car comes out nice.
to do a real repaint will be over 3k at any reputable place with a warrantee.

my cousin works at macco. He's a master at body work/painting. He even say don't go there.
He charges less and only gives perfection (in his garage). but at work, well... he does what he gets paid to do, quick cheap work.
so once again to
NO
