Got the 95 max detailed......I am impressed...
#1
On the suggestion of an ex max dude..most of you might know as JimW. I decided to get the car detailed in LI. The paint now looks 10X better with a lot less swirl marks and its butter smooth. My car lives in ski country most of the winter and it goes weeks on end without being washed, I had to good to her (the car). If anyone in NYC is interested, I went to Detailing Dynamics in Port Washington. Saying that he does Ferrari's Porshe's (sp?)on a regular basis means nothing. Its what he does to your car that will impress you. My 6 yr old car looks like its only 6 months old.
BTW, those are DavidL7's lights on the car.

There are two choices...
1) a 2 step process $130 This is for a car in good shape
2) 2 5 step process $195 This is if your car's paints is in bad shape. Like mine. Best you call him to explain the steps fully. It takes about 4 hrs for a 5 step process.

He regularly details cars for Concours events, and he is often a judge for the same. I've been to other detailing shops, and after watching them use dirty pads, supposedely "buffing" a car by hand, and dry a car with dirty towels, it makes Matt's shop look even more attractive.
Here's a pic of my 1 year old A6, two weeks BEFORE the detailing.

You get what you pay for, and Matt does some truly phenomenal work. Last year, when I first went to his shop, my A6 was the cheapest car in the garage. He had about 5 Aston Martin's, 2 or 3 Ferrari's, a nice Red Lamborghini Countach, and even a Plymouth GTX.

Matt is good, the way they treat the car is what makes the difference. (example: they use diapers to remove the wax, polish and compounds. they always have clean towels for the windows, they clean your wheels with a toothbrush (seriously) they clean all your doorjambs, and wax them also. When your car pulls out of the shop, it looks as clean as new, literally.

Hmm....looks like I"ll have to make a trip down there to get my car done. I have some swirl marks that I can't remove on my own.

Hey Ming.....The wife and I are doing well...
It looks like we will be at Maxus this year.
Hope you are doing fine. Any surprises this year?
Actually I check the BBS quite often, but I do not post very often. See ya in June or whenever Maxus is being held.
