Help me paint my dash

Hey guys, I want to paint some of my dash, wanted to go with a black and sliver theme. I don't want to purchase a paint gun or anything, so what im asking is, can i paint my dash in such a way that wiill come out very professional looking simply by sanding priming and using spray type paints? If so can someone give me a good write up and type of paints they used, pictures help too guys. Thanks

Maybe this will help, it's the best writeup I've seen so far. He didn't use spray paint though...

take your time, do light coats, clean whatever you paint really good, even lightly sand it with a very fine grit.
oh, anyone ever see the issue of super street or sport compact where a guy paint his new wrx with flat bkack rattle can? it looked really nice too. i know he said somethong about putting ( any kind of rattle can paint) in a bucket of hot, hot water cause it thins out the paint, so it sprays better i guess? anyone?

You might also want to try and find paint the can endure around 150 degrees F and that is UV resistant. If nothing else at least get the UV resistant. This will help defend against the paint getting sun bleached.

Tilley: what did you use to paint your dash? Is that car paint with the flex additive?

yeah, i've seen that. ever since that can out, my friend in california said that a bunch of kids are rollin around in black accords, civics, evos, even an M3! just a fad. i don't think it looks good enough if it's a daily driver, and it looks really cheap like black primer. blah! but would look REALLY good on a track car, though probably not very aerodynamic without any clearcoat. a super sleeper, like the wrx was.

Were those single-stage or 3-stage paints?
