I went to Route 66 Raceway near Chicago with my buddy in his Impala SS last night. It was a really slow night....LS1 F-bodies were running high 13s to low 14's and the best I could muster was a 15.0@92...and I know it's not cuz of my launch, cuz my 60' was a 2.2. It was REALLY humid...and everyone seemed to be running like crap. '99+ Mustang GT 5-speeds were running high 14's to low 15's...so something had to be up...the track was REALLY sticky though...no problem at all getting traction. I spanked my friends Impala...he was ****ed....I even ran a 15.2 and still beat him (he ran a 15.5) I also spanked a Civic Si...no contest..and an AWD turbo Talon....that was HEAVILY modded, but I talked to the guy..and he has a slipping clutch, just like me!!!! Mine slips all the way through third gear now. oh well...you guys think I can run better when I get my new clutch??? I hope so...cuz 15.0 sucks.

 

Brian when are you going to the track next? Do you know if they have open racing on any day other than Tuesday. I am gonna order my Y-Pipe in early June so well have to go up there with Jason.

 

If I can run a 14.8 with your exhaust alone, then you should be able to pull a 14.5 with all your other mods and a new clutch.. go get em!
