GL zack. I'd be nice to see someone beat Neal's long standing 13.43@102 3.0 run.

13.43? That would be a GREAT way to end the summer. Best of luck to yall, that are actually close to this kind of time.

Jime went 13.38 the other day... and you forgot SR20DEN... oh wait he didn't make his runs in the months deemed appropriate so I guess that makes them invalid?

That's my time from like a year and a half ago so it doesn't count for this contest apparently.

You should break it down by generation. It would be virtually impossible for a 3rd gen to touch a 5.5 gen NA, probably even if the 5.5 gen was stock!

I am racing in a few weeks, but there is no way I can even come close to a stock 5.5 6-speed and we don't have a 3.5L swap available like the 4th gens do

How do you figure that. Jime, Jclaw, tilleys and nismo are all seriously lacking the power to be able to pull off a 12.8 at this point. Jclaw is the closest and even he wouldn't have a chance to hit 12.8 with his current power level, he's going to need a bit more work to be close to pulling a 12.8. He's on a good road right now, but he's a long ways from a 12.8 @ 108.

You must have misunderstood me I'm just saying that they are capable with very few mods nothing major to hit high 12's, wait till Krismax hits the track.

True. However, you have to consider that I ran with full interior, nothing removed expect spare tire, in 80 degree weather with worn all season Yokohamas, no A/F tuning, stock 6500 rev limiter, no ecu tuning at all (for now) and that I don't run anywhere near as much timing advance as 2k2s run (for now). Also, often I would only wait 5-10 minutes between runs and not even pop the hood to let it cool.

Not to mention it was my first weekend ever at the track with the 3.5 and that my only other time I ever went to the track in my life was last year with my 3.0. It is also my first manual car, my only others were a 1989 Tempo and a 1989 Cutlass, both autos, and I hadn't driven it for 6 months (drove the Tempo for the winter) so there is room for improvement.

But you are right that in its current form, the car wouldn't pull a 12.8 even on slicks.

I wasn't saying you can't do it or that your car doesn't have more in it. I was just stating the fact that you are at this point a far cry from being able to pull off a 12.8, which you already know.

As far as krismax time goes I'm sure he will do well. However counting one's chickens before they hatch is a good way to be disappointed, at least in the short term.

True that. I was expecting 14.2@102 Sunday and got 13.6@104 instead. Better to aim low.

What kind of 60 foot do you pull?

What is the fastest N/A street tire run for a 3.5 other than SR20DEN's 13.5@106 on Toyo T1-S? Any 13.7 and 13.6's?

Here is the run..
60 - 2.122
330 - 5.829
1/8 - 8.874
MPH - 80.86
1000 - 11.520
1/4 - 13.778
MPH - 98.47

And I believe the only other 13.7X in street tires was Blubyu2k2.

Over the summer I may be adding Cattman headers, and JWT ECU (advanced timing), seeing the wonderful gains the 3.5 has with those 2 mods.

If you pulled a 2.12 like me you'd already have about .2 faster in the 1/4. Those two tenths are FREE

Im not lacking the power the last time at the track i ran a 13.3 with a crap setup (2k2 vi with 7500 rev) i was track testing too see what difference it made. I guarentee when i do the 00vi i will hit a 12s with the 60ft i pulled the last time at the track. I ran a 13.32 with a 2.08 60ft with 00vi then i tried the 2k2 VI and it was warmer and i was able too pull a 1.8 60ft and run a 13.30. If i would pull a 1.8 60ft with the 00vi instead of the 2k2vi i would be easy 13.0 or better.

103.75 is my best mph so far. I just took AFC out and fixed some other things and its feeling good, good enough i walked a 05 mustang GT through third.

Nice. Yeah that's a good bit more power than the 101 that is listed above.

How is that a crap setup? That is exactly what I have (2k2 IM) exept my ECU, timing and A/F is stock.

Are you saying I would trap higher than 104.5 with the 00VI? I'd trap higher with a raised rev cut period, dunno about the 00 VI.
