Audi 1.8T 1/4 Mile Times? >>>

I was wondering if anyone has witnessed a 1.8T run the 1/4 mile.. And at what time and speed.. My friend's cousin has a stock turboed 1.8T Quattro 5-speed with an exhaust and chip. I currently have Y-pipe, and intake on my auto SE. I'm curious because a friend of mine said someone has posted that an Impreza 2.5RS with Intake, Exhaust, and AFC dynoed more HP than a chipped 1.8T. The 2.5RS is a good deal lighter than a A4 Quattro too. We GTECHED back to back the other night and my friend with his Impreza ran a 15.5.. I ran a 15.2.. But I keep hearing that the 1.8T with the chip is soooo fast.. Anyone witness one run on the track??
I'm wondering if I would have a chance against my friend's cousin.

friend has a chipped a4 1.8t quattro, back when i had CAI, YPIPE and exhaust, i use to pull on him in 3rd gear. from a standing start he would take a car and half lead and each gear i would pull. he ran a 15.2 @90mph at the track. so i dunno, i have 5speed. oh and trust me, those 1.8T's have NO high end at all. its all about the awd launch. not flaming the 1.8T, but just saying a chipped 1.8T will not be as fast as u think on high end.

If it's just a chip and exhaust it's probably comparable to the stock Max.
(From June 2000 issue of EC). Should be around 180-190 HP to move 3200 lbs. A K04 turbo upgrade will net around 235-240 HP. Upgrade the intake system and chip once again can get you up to 280-285 HP.
FWIW, the European spec A4 with 180 HP runs 0-62 in 7.3 seconds.

That thing was pretty tweaked.. Had turbo upgrade and all.. I'm just wondering how I would do against the stock turbo one.. =)

Well, most of my friends are VW-Audi owners>>>
best times I have seen for the Audi was 15.2at 90
as for the VW Beetle 1.8 Turbo 5=speed was 15.1 at 89
and for the Passat 1.8 Turbo was 15.3 at 88. all chipped with very similar modds.
