clutch problems?
Ok, today is actually the coldest day of the season so far here in NYC. So, I drive to work yesterday with no problem, but coming home today, I found it very difficult to shift gears. The shifter would not go in any gear. I had to force it in at every shift. First gear was the worst. The other gears shifted after a little *persuasion*, but first was a *****. I thought it was just cold, and after everything warmed up, I would be fine. Nope. Hard to shift all the way home.
This morning, I couldn't shift into anything. So, now my car sits and I can't go to work. Any ideas?

HUH?? Never heard of a problem like that before. Usually after the gear oil warms up, shifting is normal. Could it be possible that there is a problem with your clutch slave cylinder? I have seen them go bad on more than one occasion. Try checking that out. While you are at it, check the fluid level in the clutch master. Have you had you gear oil changed recently?
Answers to my questions and more . . .
I just dropped it off at the shop. The master cylinder is busted and the fluid all leaked out which would explain why I had a hard time shifting. Hopefully, I didn't cause too much harm when I was forcing the shifter. =)
$270 to fix. At least, I had AAA and they towed it for me. *sigh*
