Custom Intake

Hello, i am planning on making a custom intake for my 2002 ford focus. Ye sorry its not a max question (my max broke so ihad to get something else for cheap) but you guys always have awsome answers. My first question is will it void my warranty if i make a custom or buy a real intake? And what materials are best to make this intake. Will PVC work or will i have to get some aluminum or what?

My girlfriend has a sentra specv and she has a CAI and it does NOT void her warranty!

Thanks

1. for warrenty issue, check with Ford or ur owner's manual
2. home depot racing PVC will work perfectly fine

This is probally a stupid question, but do you mean "racing PVC or just PVC" Is there a difference?

Hey now dont bash my focus... i know its ugly i know its slow i know it sucks, but i got it brand new for 6,000 dollars w/ a little hail damage. Well alot of hail damage lol. MSRP was 16,000 and i got it for 6,000. I think i came off pretty good considering its a focus and who cares if it has a lot of dimples. =]

My old max had a CAI and i miss that sound... /cry

you can buy 3" aluminum tubing, try ebay or summit. you should look at other focus' to see what others do.

i dont recomment pvc since its heavy.
