Many have done it , but apparently, it isn't recommended by the tire manufacturers. They want at least 17X7.5 size rims, but the SEs are 17X7. Do so at your own risk, or get 225/45-17s.

What size are the rims?

Whats the diameter and width?

I've seen and heard of 235's on 7" wide rims and 7'5.... 235 would be ideal for 8" wide though.
