Join us at the largest Nissan gathering of the year! You guys asked for an "East Coast Nationals", you got it!

NICO, in conjunction with NOPI, is proud to announce the 2005 Nissans Over Atlanta meet, September 17-18 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

We have secured an enormous location at AMS in the Red Infield, conveniently located between the vendor midway, snack bar, restrooms, the NOPI Chic tent and the burnout contest!

Nissan enthusiasts will be well-represented, with 3 20x40' tents, the NICOchick models (woo hoo!), sponsor goodies, raffle items, NICO goodies, freebies and Nissan-specific awards. Clean up your ride, bring your favorite passenger, come out and have a great time with other Nissan enthusiasts!

Registration is easy and inexpensive. PLEASE NOTE: Registering your car for the show for $70 not only gets you AND a passenger into the event for both days (saving $10), but also secures you a prime parking location with the rest of the Nissans, the ability to bring a cooler with beverages and snacks (saving lots more $$$), eligibility for the raffle, and the Nissan-specific awards NICO will be handing out. Make sure you list NICO as your club affiliation at registration for eligibility.

More info will be posted as it becomes available, but this is a DON'T MISS event for all you loyal Nissan enthusiasts - I'm looking forward to meeting you all and having a great time in sunny HOTLANTA!

Sounds like a winner. The last Nissan/NOPI/NICO nationals looked like a huge success. Can't wait to see the footage of that event on SpeedVision as I know a bunch of the "guys".

Considering that NOPI isn't until September, and that they mainly use the infield and parking lots; I doubt (hopefully) that NOPI will be affected. If it doesn't happen at AMS, I'm sure it'll be moved to a close alternate location. If NOPI posts anything regarding a site change, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

the infield, condos, and seats got the most damage. 75 million worth, its said that even if the infield is fixed up and ready to go, there will be continuous repair going on until october to get ready for the race. They may not take a weekend of work out to house thousands of cars for a show. but then again...its a big show and reservations have made in advance so long ago. Its a toss up as of right now

In response to all the naysayers doubting that this is going to happen due to the recent damage at AMS; I had one of the NICO Admins e-mail the man in charge of the NOPI events. Here is the reply he gave me:

Quote:
Just got an email back from NOPIMAN:

The event will go on as planned. Damage was to the building structures that we do not use anyway

Too bad they can't decide to just move it to Charlotte. That would make it a shorter drive for the Yankees.

Atlanta is not too far for the east-coasters. I just hate that it is in September when I can't go

My question is if NICO wins $1000 for most club entries will that money be split among those who registered as such....hmm.....???

Who fukking cares? $1k aint **** when it comes to the amount of time/effort/expense people put into these kinds of events.

You realy think NICO is doing this for a lousy $1k?
