Are H&R and Neuspeed the same company or have they ever been and split?
Are H&R and Neuspeed the same company or have they ever been and split?
I need to find this out so I can clear my name. I sold a guy a set of what I thought were H&R springs. They say Neuspeed on them but I was assured by fellow org members that they were in fact H&R's. I found quite a few links using "H&R Neuspeed same company" on Google that point to them being the same but I wanted to get some feedback from people so I can either 1)assure the guy they are 100% H&R's or 2) refund his money for selling him the wrong thing.
Here's the thread thats going on about it if anyone can help.

I've never heard anything about Neuspeed and H&R being related in any way, shape, or form. One is based in California and the other in Washington. Also since when does Neuspeed make springs for the maxima? They make parts exclusively for Honda/Acura and VW/Audi.
I've always been under the impression that Neuspeed rebrands H&R's springs (private label). I might have read that years ago.
That is what I was told when I bought them and got on here freaking out about being sold Neuspeeds instead of H&R's. I was a newbie back then and everyone acted like it was common knowledge.
If they aren't the same and never have had anything to do with each other, then I owned the only Maxima specific Neuspeed springs in existence.
I just need to get this cleared up before I get drug through the mud any further for an honest mistake. I don't feel like paying for the shipping back to me only to find out a couple days later that I was in fact right and they are 100% H&R springs.
They are black. They have Neuspeed written in white on the center coil. I don't remember if there's anything else written on them or not. I've had them on two different '96's (GXE & SE).
Here's more reading on this little mystery.

I'm trying to find something from the actual companies or something like that but haven't come up with anything yet.

Unless there's a # on the springs themselves, I have no idea what the part # was. They came in a H&R box but that box is long gone. I'll see if the buyer can look at them and see if there's something on there I forgot.
