Have you tried running higher octane fuel? I bought one of those octane boosters that raises the octane up to 7 points, and it is unbelievable how much harder the car pulls in the top end. The octane boost didn't do that before I had the ecu. I was kind of weary to buy it but it says will not harm sensors or cat converter. I was just curious if anyone else had used it. Running a tank afterwards of regular 93 octane just doesn't feel the same, I know its not in my head.

What kind of octane booster can you use?

 

There were like 10 different kinds on the shelf, but some of them said they could harm sensors. There were several that said they were safe to use, so I just grabbed the cheapest one and gave it a shot. NOS makes a couple that look good, one 3 point boost and one 7 point boost, but they were around $8, mine was only $4 but I can't remember what it is called. I have used it in two tankfulls now and there really is a difference.

I have the Jim Wolf ECU and really want to try this. But I always heard that octane boosters can damage O2 sensors. OgreDave and Chebosto have you tried this yet?

 

I got the bottle, but the tank isnt all the way empty yet. I got about 40% left to go. Sunday or so should be time to dump it and try it.

BTW, i wont have the ecu in too much longer.. heh.
