FAILED NJ inspection because of blue interior lights!!!???

chirped the tires? what do they do put the car on rollers? Jeez...i go to a family friend to buy the sticker and he never looks at my car.

Well, my wife almost failed her inspection because the driver's window switch only works when 'jiggled'. She managed to convince the inspector to push the switch sideways while pulling it up, and only when he was able to operate it, did he pass the car. How is that a safety or emission issue is beyond me...

your best bet is to go to a local garage that does inspections. Something minor such has having blue interior lights isn't a problem.

There is a difference between lights that shine through the dash and various buttons, and the dome light and door lights. The dome light and door light is the one that they can and did fail me on. But a quick swap to regular bulbs solved all probs.

Possibly the "Gotcha" lights are Blue and they don't want you "attempting to impersonate an officer" when your door is open? Here in Florida, they have just started adding Yellow lights to the Blue ones on the light bars for better daytime visibility.
