just a wondering question

i was wondering today how cars that are lowered pretty heavily and have kits with sideskirts get worked on by a mechanic? Where would you jack the car up on because i dont think that fiberglass could safely hold the weight of the car without cracking. also as far as lowering problems go- i know with my car at stock ride height i have to put wood boards on my ramps when i change my oil so that it can clear without scraping; has there ever been times when mechanics complain?

some lifts are drive on, but some mechanics will damage your car if they arent familiar with modified cars like that. i knew a kid at my school who had a lowered 4th gen and kit, when he took it to a mechanic they damaged the sideskirts and ended up paying for the fix.

gee, i should hope so. If they can't fit it, they should just tell you straight up rather than run the risk of damage. I was told once my car wouldn't fit on a lift and i'm just lowered on s-techs.

they usually have like these small metal poles that attach to the lift part, and clears the side skirts.

HAHA now I remember, in our other shop we have some older style lifts that have those. All you have to do is remove the lift pads, put on the taller blocks and now you have no damage to the car!
