Ipod?

I just got an Ipod and I was wondering if I could just get the monster cable they offer and plug it into one of my empty aux. in the back of my headunit?

if your headunit offers aux. input then yes. but if its output only then i don't think its compatible since your trying to play the music through the headunit, not coming from the headunit

Check out my thread about my iPod install using the same Monster AUX cable you are asking about.

I have a Kenwood aftermarket head unit with a aux input and I got a 20 dollar monster to hook my iPOD up to. I ran the wire through a hole in the 2nd pocket and it sounds great. No more cassette player hookup.

Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, and Clarion all have a special ~$100 adapter. I have the Alpine one, it works but it's far from perfect.

I was looking at the alpine adapter but apparently you need an alpine head unit too? I have the bose maxima system and I heard that doesn't have any aux inputs. Is this true?

Anyone know if the Bose system in the 2000 GLE has an aux in somewhere behind? Wanna hookup my mp3 player to it, thanks.

Like I said, I heard it doesn't but I'm not sure. Waiting for confirmation from someone in the know. Maybe it's in the car manual? I'm gonna check mine.

guys...if you have an OEM head unit, there is NO AUX IN. but...I have a solution for you - what I used for my Dell Jukebox (like Ipod) when I still had my bose:
