question: why is weekend battles restricted to weekends?
The weekend battle forum is essentially a place for people to post there 'kills', the majority of which are probably not legal. Question then is, why should it be restricted to just 'weekend' battles? I'm sure there are people who would like to post threads during the week.

Because the skeet races in there are like you said mostly not legal and that's why it is restricted to weekends.
It was also probably opended so the NEWBS would stop posting kill threads through-out the entire week which IS and NEVER will be tolerated, so the admins/mods gave the NEWBS a little breathing room and let their kill stories versus Kias, Civics, and Pintos to the weekend.
