Gas shortage!

I hate posting on or in Gas threads cause it's stupid, and because it will always rise and get alot worst before it gets better. If no one has realized that, then you must never drive.

I would have posted this in Off Topic, but I know some of you are not donating members and do not have access.

I got this email from a friend regarding the shortage. Take it for what it's worth and I'll as I drive by. I know this says Carolinas, but check your local sources to see if this effects you also.

I thought I would pass this along so that you guys know to fill up your tanks if they are getting low.

The problem going forward will be a shortage of oil refining capacity as a number of oil refineries are shut down. Gas shortages are a real possibility, but not so soon. Higher gas prices is a given.

I just filled up yesterday while I still found not too expensive gas ($2.79 super), while other stations were $3.33 for super.

The only mistake Bush made was going into Iraq. It shortened the duration of the bear market and recession, but its now turning into another Vietnam and is all about face-saving now. How that imbecile got re-elected is beyond comprehension!

Here's an idea..DON'T DRIVE. The price of gas will only lower slightly, stabilize, and continue to rise. THE DAYS OF CHEAP GAS ARE OVER...GET USED TO IT.

There should be a surtax imposed on the gas guzzlers as well. That will never happen, however, because of the power of the Big 3 automakers.

And there are some real idiots, too. Do you have any idea as to why the price of gasoline is going up?! There are three primary reasons why gasoline has SKYROCKETED in the past half-decade, namely:

(1) Industrilization of China
(2) War in Iraq
(3) American greed for big-engine vehicles

Now, think about it Einstein. The three BIGGEST consumers of gasoline as listed about are not slowing down in their consumption rate...PERIOD. Gas prices will continue to rise. It will only level out for awhile, but don't expect to pay $2.00 for a gallon ever again in this lifetime. Expect it to hit $5.00 per gallon in 2 years. Our insatiable desire for more wealth and the next shiny $hit you will own all drives the price of gas up. Are you going to change your lifestyle? No. Will crude's price continue to rise? YES. DEAL WITH IT. Next time you are about to b!tch about the price of gasoline, try cracking open a newspaper and look over the economics and industial sections. Then try and rub the two little neurons you have up there together and see if you are capable of deriving an answer to your own questions.

kthnxbye
