Motherfukcing clutch pedal adjustment is damn near impossible- any tips?
SubscribeI just spent like 15-20 minutes trying to adjust my clutch pedal but couldn't loosen the first nut on the CC switch thingy, let alone the nut on the rod that leads to the slave cylinder. There is absolutely NO room down there to adjust anything. Short of taking the dash apart, I can't seem to find a way to adjust this. I need some help guys....help me out....
What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to adjust the pedal height, or the engagement point?
It wasn't too difficult with a flashlight, small wrench and pliers. Just be prepared to lie down there for a bit.

Theres a really easy way to adjust it without taking the "fork type" prong off the pedal. You just take a 12mm wrench, pliers, & some sort of light. Lie with your back on the footsill arched, then tighten the nut on the shaft (clockwise), then take the pliers & get a good grip with the back of them, or the tip, & rotate the shaft in place (counter-clockwise) to move the engagement closer to the floor. I've done it tons of times, just keep adjusting till you get the feel just right. Also make sure you don't make the engagement too close to the floor, cause if it's too far then the clutch will be unable to fully disengage! Causing damage to your clutch & transmission. You should put it as close the floor as possible, BUT still feel pressure drop when the pedal is fully to the floor. Example [When the clutch is fully let out, push the peddle to the floor. You should feel lots of pressure, but you want that pressure to go away right before the pedal hits the floor. Otherwise the engagement was adjusted too far. I had it like that once, & had to adjust it back in alittle. If you have a real light flywheel, even with a stock flywheel, this will help alot with shifting, Even under normal driving, because it allows the clutch to engage much quicker, before the RPM's drop too low, causing you to have re-rev match. Trust me, it's much better. It also makes launching in 1st much easier, due to the shorter throw in the pedal. That's all for now. Ask questions if need be.

I'm there with you 95maxrider. Many times I went to adjust engagment point and it took much longer than it should for just turning a bolt and a shaft. Small tools is the key and a lot of patients. I have large hands so that didnt make it any better but it will take some time.
