Fuel pressure tester recommendation

Is there any particular fuel pressure tester (brand and model number) that anyone can recommend me?

I'm just looking to add one to my toolkit and want something that will work across a variety of makes and models (including my 4th Gen).

I have seen products from Equus and Actron (in addition to Snap-on)...

I wasn't sure how many times I would be using it so didn't go overboard. Got the Actron locally and it comes with some GM fitting. I cut that off and just bought some hose, clamps and a brass T-fitting. Worked great and I could definitely rule out the fuel line as being the problem in my ongoing hard starting situation. Definitely better than me swapping out the fuel pump... and then the FPR! Who know, I may use it again for future cars I work on, so you are right to want cross-platform use. If I wanted to use the GM fitting, I still could with a brass fitting with barbs on both ends.

Did you just insert the pressure tester inline (with the T) after the fuel filter?

Does our fuel rail have a test valve? (Schraeder or otherwise) ?

I see Equus makes a tester (model #3642) that is supposed to work with our cars, but their website is down right now, so I couldn't pull up their instruction manual to see how it works.

That's exactly what I did. I was told our cars have no port to test fuel line pressure.

Yup - we have to use the inline T. I might just buy the equus one... its about 40 bucks and comes with the T and extra hoses for running it inline. Also includes adapters for the ports that some vehicles have on the fuel rail!
