They're Ok. But for the same price there's better

I have one in my wife's Kia. Get a PPI or something if your looking at a new one. Otherwise it depends on the price......

Which model is it and what are you gonna power with it? They make some really good high-end amps with great SQ.

They make good amps, I had a reference 705 and never had a prob with it, it put out 65 x 4 + 400 mono or 130 x 2 + 400 mono (it was a 5 channel amp) and it pounded. You have to be careful with the grounding of SS amp, as they are prone to inline noise (i.e. alternator whne) unless grounded well. This is due to the unregulated power supply which allows then to generate very high peak output levels at low resistance. They made great amps a few years ago and I would assume they still do, but what ever you do don't underpower your speakers or you'll be sorry. Make sure you have more than enough "clean" power and you can't go wrong with most decent amps.

good luck!

They are decent amps. I had a 93 LX 5.0 with a Precision Power 4x50 amp drving Boston Pro 5.3's up front and 797 6x9's in the back which went through an Audio Control EQX then into an Alpine Head with CD Changer (all professionally installed). The two infinity 10" subs driven by a Sound Stream 2x100 amp. Boy I loved that set up and do I ever miss it. In 95, I unistalled it from the 5.0 and put it in a new Dodge Avenger which I then sold (with equipment) in 97. What a learning experience that was. But I saved $300 on installation. Stores wanted $400 but I did it for $100 in parts....sorry for the trip down memory lane. It's been a while since I've heard a decent stereo.
