My wife and the Max...

Okay, my wife gets as excited about cars as most folks do about going to the dentist. In other words, she views a car merely as transportation from point A to B, or so I thought.
I got bored a few weeks ago and pulled out the Stillen intake and JWT ECU and put the stock parts back in for the heck of it. I left on a business trip for a week and my wife drove the Maxima, instead of driving her prized 1988 4 speed Toyota Tercel...1.4 litres of raw screaming power.
Anyways, as soon as get home from my week trip, she "instructs" me I have to put the intake and computer back on the Max, as she had to downshift into third gear to pass a car, instead of leaving it in fifth like she normally did.
You have to love a wife like that!
And I guess it also shows the ECU and intake do make a difference, as noted by a non-car enthusiast.

Ohhh you lucky dog
My wife does not care about cars. They are only A-B transportation units.
She calls all my stuff (Y pipe, CAT, CAI, etc.) rattly pipes (rusty rattly pipes, clippity clappety)
She tries to look interested though (credit to her) but that lasts about 1.5 minutes before she starts looking glazy and gone (fading away).
I think it only matters when I am working on the car and takes long enough for me to be "not available" for other alternative motives (house work).
Ah, she also drives an exhausted '92 tercel that could use a tune up.
