Do you guys have emissions testing all over now, not just downstate? I noticed you used to have a computerized inspection sticker if the car were from downstate, but I think your 2002 sticker is no longer computerized, or at least from my observation. My friend said inspection in Upstate is only $14. Darn if only PA were as cheap for everything.

Don't you have that little sticker next to your registration on the windshield?

And I believe there's emission testing all over. I have to get mine tested in about a month.

Nope

There is not emissions testing all over, I live in Putnam county which is just north of Westchester, about 45 minutes from NYC... And we here in Putnam do not have emissions testing while my neighbors down the road (technically Westchester) do. It is a county based thing, not state. In Putnam County all we have is a safety inspection.

And you have the little square inspection right, delio? BTW, if you look at your car's registration, if there is a NYMA in the top right of the paper, you have to have the emmissions inspection. The rest of the state north or West/Rock doesn't have that and can get away with the safety inspection only. NOTE: you WILL get a ticket if you have a NYMA car and go upstate and get the safety inspection instead of the emmissions.

Yeah, I am in Rochester, and there is no emissions testing here.

You do need to have all the OEM (or acceptable replacement) emissions parts though. I had a Nissan dealer fail me for not having the pre-cats on the car...but a local tire shop didn't know/care.
