A/C Compressor going bad, is my UR Underdrive Pulley affecting it??
Sup fellas -
I have now gone to my dealership twice to get my A/C compressor working properly and I have a newer car, 04 I35 8500 miles. I went to the dealer and one of the mechanics thinks my Unorthodox Racing Pulley is affecting my compressor. I told him I don't think so. I have talked to other owners with installed UR Underdrive pulley and they said that shouldn't affect the A/C compressor.
My car is at the Stealership now and I am worried about my mods and my warranty work. The stealership ordered a new part already and they are installing now. My mechanic said if it goes out again, he's going to tell them that it's my aftermarket pulley and I won't be covered under warranty again. I want to make sure I know my P's and Q's before I go back to them again and tell the mechanic not to touch my car again since he doesn't know what he is talking about.
Is the mechanic right? or is he being lazy and doesn't want to install the compressor? Thanks

There is no possible way your underdrive pully is harming your A/C compressor. Don't even allow the tech or the service manager to bring that up, immediately dismiss it.
Think logically about what the pully does and how it could possible harm your A/C. If anything, the slightly lower RPM's might make it last longer.
