Removal of dash kits?
#1
The plastic part of my wood dash kit came loose and cracked when someone tried to push it back down for me... so I wanna get it off now since it looks pretty ugly..
What's the best way to take off a dash kit without leaving behind any of that sticky glue residue that I've read about a while ago?
I've used the search function and found only ways to remove the center dash console... nothing on kit removal..
Thanks

When you take it off, try nail polish remover and a lint free cloth that will not deteriorate when you rub it down. This should work quite well. If it doesn't, try Goof Off. All though your car will stink for a day or so, it will get the residue off. I plan on doing this when I get my REAL JT aluminum Dash kit. Later guy.

Then to clean the OEM surface, use something liek simple green or nail polish remover like Ramius83 suggested.
