I just got a '99 black SE 5sp. It's my second car. My first was a VW GTI16v 5sp. Did everything to it. It handled like a go-cart and had some pretty good get-up-n-go. Boy I loved that car, but on to better and bigger things right? I really like this site and have been reading it for a while. I love the Maxima. Upgrading from a 4cyl to a V6 like the Max's makes a world of difference. As soon as I drove it I knew I had to have it, plus all of my "other" friends have tricked out Hondas. I'm looking forward to destroying all of them. The Max has no mods so it's gonna be my white canvas. The first item of business is to add an Addco RSB, Cattman FSTB and RSTB, PR CAI, short shifter, clear corners, PIAA SW, and blue fog lights. Later mods: RT hi-flo cat, Greddy exhaust, Cattman y pipe, and 17' rims and tires.

My question is about suspension. I really like the idea of the Cattman coilovers but damn they're pricey for me right now. So if I went with an Eibach Pro Kit and held off on Tokico shocks would I be killing my regular shocks? Should I just wait until I can do both the springs and shocks together? Thanx in advance my new fellow bretheren.

It's always easier to get springs and shox at the same time, but I would go with the Koni shox over the Tokicos. There have been complaints that the Toks get 'floaty' after a while.

Welcome to the club, sounds like you have a good list of mods to keep you going for a while......

If you truely want handling, forget the Tokicos, they are very bad in the MAxima application. Go get some koni's.
