ok guys.. i am kinda upset at import inteligence, i mean i know that its not all their fault, but the "how 2" on the indiglo needles said to turn the needle 3 times counterclockwise. The needle has a spring on it, and when I turned it 2 times the spring popped. They should have done a little research before selling these and telling people how to take their needles off when they dont know how to.
okay i feel a little better, on the other hand, does anyone know how much a guage cluster is and where i can get one?

Your best bet might be to go to a junkyard. Or you can always (shudder)... go to the dealer. Obviously, the dealer will cost more.

I went to a junkyard to find some SE gauges and everyone kept telling me, "I can get you some for $200".

And you should have checked out http://www.maximadriver.com and read the How2 on how to remove the needles. I removed mine to put on my indiglos.

yep, tried them but they only stock 2nd and 3rd gen.

 

What year do you have? I have a complete guage cluster for sale that came out of my '95 GLE. The odometer has ~70K miles on it. I changed it to an SE cluster this winter.

Make me an offer I can't refuse!

 

well, I have an se, what is the difference between the gxe and the se? isnt it just the color?

The GLE and GXE have black faces with white letters, the SE has white faces with black letters. Also, IIRC, the '95-'97 have mechanical odometers, the '98-'99 have electonic odometers.

 

I found a '95 SE whole cluster on copartfinder.com for 150 bucks.. this is a good price i guess since I called Nissan and they said $220 for the MPH and $375 for the RPM

 

That's what I paid for the SE gauges off of Ebay.
