Tell me what u think of these paint jobs..

Im debating whether or not to get my car painted by a friend of a friend. Its either go through him, or to another established bodyshop. I havent seen his work in person, all I have to go by are his pictures.. I really dont know what to do b/c I would be getting a Sick Deal!!! Im just getting a regular repaint. Super,Super Black....
So, here are a couple pictures...

So you guys dont think the paint is dull. Maybe it's just me being paranoid. The pics were taken with a camera phone btw...

The work looks amazing, and professional, but gaudy and ricey.

I don't question his ability, but his taste, well...that's something different altogether.
