What happened to TireRack

I haven't been able to access any of their webpage. http://www.tirerack.com

Have they gone out of business or something?

Thanks!

Ordered new rubber a day or two ago so I'd say odds are good they're doing well.

If that's the only site you are not able to access, your firewall must be blocking it or something. I doubt its the DNS servers as that would affect every site you surf too.

Maybe its your DNS cache file or something. Try surfing to tirerack using their IP of 204.71.140.50. If that does not work and if you running on Windows 2000 or XP, try using the command of ipconfig /flushdns from the command prompt.

The site works fine for me and I know they are not out of business as I just got winter wheels from them

I don't know how many orders I've placed with them, at least 4 sets of tires for 3 different cars. I always assumed they had the lowest price. Last Sat., the local dealer had Michelins for my friend's car (Hydroedge, think it's a B-rated touring tire) for $92, when the Tire Rack wanted $103. Add $12 for mount/comp. bal. Would be another $20 per wheel if ordered on the web and mounted locally. This world sure is changing, a consumer always has to shop around nowadays.

Yeah, Discount Tire Centers has waay better deals (in my region at least). Plus, There's a buncha DTC's in my area that if I need warranty work, or just want a balance/rotation for the heck of it, it's easy.
