I think the Z runs low 14s high 13s.

2003 Z does 1/4 mile in 14.1
2005 Z does 1/4 mile in 14.3

You MUST install this Codec before you can view the videos...

Here's 3 of the runs... Mike left before I ran the last pass (12.9). But, Spig and Frosty witnessed it!

Dam, most of first was wheel spin so I agree you should definitely see aimprovement in both traction and times with larger slicks. Great job!
Also when you said sentra somehow I was thinking of a B13 sentra instead of a B15 but either way its a total sleeper.

You did not mess around, good job man. That car must be a blast to drive on the streets. I bet you can get mid 12s with a little more fine tuning.

downloading now, cant wait to see NPR, havent been there in over a year ! a stock 350z driven to full potential (manual tranny) can put up a 13.7, saw it happen against frosty, car was bone stock. this vq35de powered sentra would blow the nissan badges off a stock Z, ROFL !

Video 1: HA ! way to go man, that appears to be a 5.0 liter mustang, now you know what he is thinking! Look at that japtrap sentra ! nice light, you trashed him on reaction time, and owned him down the track. fantastic, that is complete and total ownage !

Video 2: Appears to be a subaru wrx turbo, believe they have awd not sure, guy cuts a serious light, so the vq has some serious ground to make up. what is going on ? second gear must pull like a jet engine, by third lights out !

Video 3: man you are killing that tree ! .010 woot ! nice vq grunt too !

thanks for the videos ! bravo !

Thanks man... People asked me what it feels like... I tell them, I feel like I'm in a go-kart. 3rd gear pulls like a ***** on the highway! 1st and 2nd gear is useless on street tires.. I can't wait to see what it does on the spray this weekend... Midnight Madness.. here I come!

Make sure you get bigger slicks or I forsee major traction problems even on a mild shot.

The title of that video is somewhat misleading. I'm sure some viewers are going to think that the motor has some sort of forced induction.

Anyway, congrats on the time man!!

thats superb for a car of that class must of shocked a lot of people that night, but isnt you trap kinda low for a 12.9. when i run that im at 111mph.
seems like you got off to one hell of a start then lost power by the end.

Slicks = lower trap. When I ran a 13.3 it was only 103 mph.

Have you weighted the car or are you just assuming it's 27xx + driver?

You're forgetting about the power delivery of the supercharger. It reaches full boost at redline so the trap speeds are almost always disproportionately high for the 1/4 mile times compared to n/a cars.

you know its funny im thinking hes boosted with such a good 1/4 mile time .
so yeh i guess the power would start to fall off at some point without boost.

FI cars almost always trap higher... That just has to do with the associated powerband of each setup. Also, a car on slicks is going to go faster, but probably trap lower. On street tires, I would have gone 13.5-13.6 @ 105.

lol... I'm pretty good with the "butt-dyno".. I told Frosty before I ran.. "I'm going to run a 13.4 @ 104." I proceded to run a 13.38 @ 104.20. Pretty close..

haha, yes that 12.9 was crazy... it gave me goose bumps... and having rode in that car... travis isn't lying about it being like a go-cart with a vq in it.. it's WICKED fast for being all motor, especially the fact that it's almost bone stock...

how much does the sentra weight, does it handle any differently with the larger motor? He should really get headers to open that thing up.

Going back tonight with a 65hp shot of nitrous to see if I can break 11's.. Using the data from these runs, my calculator shows a run of 12.08 @ 112mph with 280whp. That same calculator showed a 13.10 @ 104 when I used it last time.. It was 2 tenths off.. so, maybe I'll crack 11's tonight.
