No you would mill your rotors down to 277mm x 30mm.

Also, Tilley milled the stock rotors when he did his swap.

With the 277mmx 30mm rotor, surely I would have to shave the Maxima TM? Or just get some J30 TM which are suited for wider rotors?

So then all thats left is to use the Maxima TM? or the J30s? (made for wider rotors)

What about these spacers I30tmike has been speaking about?

wheel spacer such as this?

Update, I have everything I need for the swap...

Cobra rotors
painted remanu'd Q45 calipers
Q45 pads
4th gen SS lines
brackets & rings from Jeff
additional hardware (lockwashers, nuts, bolts...)

I hope I won't need spacers. I'm ready to get everything on, but I need help from another org'er for his schedule to clear.

I have everything too but I had problems drilling out the rotors to the 4 lug pattern, so hopefully this weekend. But the clearance inside of the caliper, is 35mm I believe at the height of the TM. Which should be more then enough play.

That's what he's talking about. G20 is 4-lug.

I test fitted everything and it fits perfect. Its not installed as of yet since I ran into a problem. Im runnin OZ superleggerra's with a 40mm offset just fyi. Clears my rims by a few mm... might have to shave the caliper slightly cause of the wheel weights. No spacer is necessary but its pretty close.

I'm just about out. I'm thinking about getting another run of both the brackets and rings. You think alot of G20 guys would be interested?

I would think so, if a thread was started on how to install and total cost run down, i believe people would be interested. The only other option we have is a custom 12" bbk which runs around $900-$1000. So for a larger bbk with a price less than $500, this is definitely worth it. The extra weight is justified by the cost.

Well just let me know if you happen to have an extra set, i think i only need the brackets based on what uglee_t said.

Well I finally finished my big brake upgrade. I originally was going to go with the Q45 rotors and shave the inside of the torque member with a grinder to alot for the wider diameter rotors. But since I got a great deal on everything I went ahead and did the cobra rotors and bought Jeff92se brackets and rings. Break down of cost... labor and drilling was done by me. I did run into some difficulty with the hub ring as the hub was rusted. I used a dremel to clean it up.
$60 shipped for J30 front and rear calipers w/ pads.
$54 shipped for 13" 30mm Cobra rotors
$90 shipped for Jeffs brackets/hub rings
$5 for Red enamel paint.
Total=$210

I cant post attachments... so you can find pics on http://www.g20.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46119
The car brakes exceptionally. With a light touch on the pedal, it begins to work for you. It is no longer grabby, or fades easily. Now its propotionate to how much effort you are applying to the pedal. The heavier weight however makes the suspension hit slightly harder when it rebounds...but this matches how the rear is now since I added the Maxima RSB.

Looks good, so w/ the 13'' rotors and brackets n such, there wasn't any shaving of anything? Everything bolted up fine? That's what it sounded like when i read the thread on G20.net

One hub ring was a problem for me. I had some built up rust so I dremeled that off. I also had to dremel one of the rings. Both of the rings were identical, except for the backend. One of them was rounded and the other was flat which prohibited the rotor from sitting perfectly flush. To fit this I took everything off again and dremeled the ring slightly until it was rounded and sat perfect.

Have you tried it w/o the rings? Since you said you dont think the rings are necessary, i just wanted to see if you tested it out. I dont wanna end up wasting 45 on brackets to have it not fit properly, and if jeff isnt making anymore rings.

Jeff: will you be getting any more rings in the near future? What if i pick up the brackets now, and see if it works w/o the rings, and if it doesnt then ill pick up a set of rings as well later on. But if youre not making anymore rings, then picking up the brackets might be too wise.

I screwed up and enlarged the holes too much so there was too much play. But if you had the holes drilled out perfect size, then it should be fine without the rings. its just added insurance and only $45. I personally wouldnt hesistate to drive without the rings however. I drove 120 miles before I fixed the ring...slight wobble that went away after 65mph.

I plan to talk to the machine shop mon about getting another run of rings done. I'll have to ask them to make sure there's the chamber on the rear ring side. That's what uglee t is referring to ( I think anyway)

So I'd just wait. Unless you are on some type of schedule. These two pare WERE designed to work together

The long awaited pics! Srry folks, i only have a camera phone.

Before...

Bracket goes on...

Cutting the dust shield...hmm...this isn't going to well.

Sawzall FTW!!

On goes the rotor and torque member...

(my phone is being fluke and not letting me upload the rest of the pics. They'll be up one way or another.)

behind the bracket...

The money shot.

Now, unfortunatly, my rims didn't clear the calipers. They rubbed ever so slightly so the calipers had to be grinded some on the front. FYI, they are Exel E-2s 18 x 7.5 w/ 30mm offset.

The brakes stop beautifully! There's a little more peddle travel, but I'll get used to it.

I'd like to thank Redmax and DA-MAX for doing the swap.

Corey and Addae did the swap so i dunno all the details. The biggest problem we had was the rim clearance. After they grinded down the caliper, it was all good. When i'm rollin under 15mph, there is a clicking sound...that could be due to the fresh pads.

I have the Q45 calipers and yes the difference is there. The stopping power is on point. And yes, i'm still not mechanically inclined.
