i just recieved the new scosche installers guide. if ur not familiar with it, its one fo the companies that make dash kits and such to allow aftermarket headunits to fit into cars.

anyway i found a nifty box that allows cars with steering wheel controls to have them work with aftermarket hus, these arent new products but this is the latest version. its called the swc1 steering wheel radio control interface.

it says it can work with 95% of cars 86 and up. the hu needs to be reomte control capible. im not 100% itll work on all of our cars, but u can check it out at

PAC has had something like this for years, it's called the SWI-X (I'm using it now). They now have wired versions for certain brands of head units that have steering wheel control inputs on the back of them.
