problems with Courtesy?
Has anyone experienced problems with Courtesy Nissan? I have had problem the three times that i have ordered through them. I sent an order with a check and i knew it had to wait 10 days to clear but then they didn't ship my order for another two weeks, that was for my clear lights. Then i ordered a POP Charger and sent a check again, again the wait and tens days later i go to check up on the order and they said i didn't place an order. Then i said i did and was like whats the deal here. Then their like, we apologize your order was sent yesterday. Then i ordered plugs from them jus recently and this time i sent in a money order, but now is taking longer than if i sent in a check. Its been almost two weeks and they say i haven't sent in an order. I'm mean i know Courtesy is a great company, but do they have a few business problems to work out? thanks, jus had to let off some steam.

Not problem per se
I ordered some stuff-- oil filters, air filters and some plugs from them a few days ago and aside from some outrageous shipping prices for the items...the folks there are pretty nice. However, there is something I have to say about their prices. They are so confused about the prices and how the discount works themselves that the three times I called them (left on hold for too long), I got different prices.
Here is another thing--remember that posts that KALEB had up two days ago in which he tried to cleared up the discount for us--well, after employing his procedure, that wasn't what they did for my order. I sent him an email right after his post--and I asked him if it was possible for him--at his convenience-- to look over what they charged me and compare it to what he has posted here...because the numbers didn't work out for me. Well, no response...I assume he is busy...
Another point is that it isn't the matter of them over charging me $1 or $2 but the fact that they need to be consistent with the prices. Example: I called the first time the ngk plug were listed for 9.35 on the web he said 8.90 then the second time it was 8.70 and the time that I placed my order successfully, it was 8.80--when in fact using KALEB's method, it should be 8.76--so I guess I will get some clarification when I see the actual bill later when MR. FedEx drops my box off.

Give this place a try...
You can call Crest Nissan in Woburn, MA (1-781-935-1111) to see if they have better prices on OEM parts and s/h for you. I always go there and get my parts at Crest since I live locally. Their service is always friendly at the counter or over the phone. They will give you a discount if you tell them you belong to the Maxima or Se-r club. Ask for Bob Smith (Parts Manager) if you have any questions. They ship their parts all over the world and USA. Tell him Ken from the Maxima club sent you. Hope this will help some of guys out.

I have had problems. (on 2 of my 4 orders from them). They lost one of my orders (wheels). I had to keep checking up with them. That order took 1 month to arrive after placing it. Everything that could go wrong, did. One of the wheels supposedly got damaged prior to shipping. On another order they sent me a defective Popcharger. Other orders went smoothly... I received parts days after placing orders. Kind of a mixed bag.

Shing is correct-->
Depending on where you live, it's gonna take 1 week for them to receive the check, then 1 week for the check to clear + any time for personal to process it. Pay by credit card and they will ship same day if it's in stock.

humaras, you should have just gone carparts.com for NGK plugs ->
Courtesy just doesn't have as good of a deal when you compare them to carparts.com with their 33% off coupon.
Of course, I'm the type who prefers to order stuff without any human contact.
Hopefully, this is a lesson learned. You really shouldn't bother buying stuff from Nissan unless you need a Nissan-specific part....

thanks for the coupon code the other day for carparts...I really appreciate it...well, I needed a few oil filters and also some other nissan specific parts--so I thought what the heck--I'll go with them since many here have said very good things about them...
well, hopefully now that my car won't go ka-blunk...then it'll be all good.

doh..
I ordered my clear corners about a week ago via credit card on thier website. 3 days went by.. no email confermation. I emailed them asking whats up, they said they did not have my name in thier data base. Another day went by and then I got a confermation email from the same email address. So I replied asking them when it will be shipped. They said "your name is not in our data base" I said "well you just sent me a confermation on my order" then they said "Oh sorry it was shipped yesterday" This was UPS ground but its been like 10 days, how long does it take? And second.. to go along with what you said about pricing, thier webpage has them listed "On Sale" for $39. I got charged $49 (regular price) when I asked why they said "it's a mistake, it's really $49" Grrr... I just want my damn lights!
well, if anyone
has a gripe against them and what they have done which is not to your satisfaction--then we ought to make a list with everyone and their email...and I will send it off to them. I actually spoke to the parts manager the other day and he seems nice--and is interested in improving their service.
Let me just say that with our "supposed" 1100 members as of today, we can and should get some good discounts to genuine nissan parts--and the heck, they should be more than happy in having us as customers...
if anyone is interested keep posting from here on this post or we can start a new one and see what everyone has to say.

Re: well, if anyone
Can we make a list for McDonalds too? Because they've screwed up my order several times. What do you guys think? Of course, if McDonalds was giving me a 25% discount and donating free food at all my family get-togethers, I probably wouldn't complain about it. Besides, McDonalds always fixes me another burger WITHOUT onions like I asked for so I'm never out anything.

Hey guys- just wanted to offer you another option- I'm David Burnette from South Point Nissan, who by the way is currently sponsoring Maxima.org. I can't render an opinon about Courtesy Nissan, but I can offer you personalized service a phone call away. I give all my internet customers a competitive, consistent discount, if you ever have any questions about your order, I'll do my best to answer them! Getting your parts to you as quickly as possible only makes my paycheck higher! I'm not trying to shamelessly plug my dealership, I'm a Nissan enthusiast and Maxima owner myself, I think the organizations that support Maxima.org deserve a shot!

Difference in points
KaleB--
I don't think you understood what we were saying here. We are not trying to bash Courtesy whatsoever...I believe from the postings many here enjoy doing business with them, but there are rough edges where Courtesy can improve--and that is all we are saying.
And as for the Mcdonalds comparison--it is a big difference between ordering nissan parts and asking for a burger from a teenager at the local McKeedees.
Btw, your comment here "if McDonalds was giving me a 25% discount and donating free food at all my family get-togethers, I probably wouldn't complain about it. "
is not only illogical but makes absolutely NO SENSE b/c you guys at Courtesy aren't donating parts to us for free. And yes, we are getting a discount, but are we getting it for free??? (correct answer is NO!!)
Therefore, it is not VALID to compare a $4.99 Value meal to a tuneup combo because one sure as hell cost a lot more and we'd expect more from it.

I am with Kaleb mistakes happen that is life but when it comes to a business it all has to do with how they react to the problem and how fast.. I have never had a problem with them and recommend them to everyone else I know whith Nissan cars and will contiue to do so as long as the act professional and are quick to react...

I agree with ya

I said, for myself, that my dealings with them was more than pleasing and I'd want to buy from them again, but is it so bad to have someone provide a piece of constructive criticism once in awhile?
In any case--they were quick with my order and I received it as promised with everything in it

True and I also agree contructive criticism is a good thing as long as it is contructive and not a wild slap in the face as my grandfather always says there is alway room for improvement..
My apologies if I implied you were being non-consructive...
Please let us all keep in mind we are a Club (A group of people organized for a common purpose, especially a group that meets regularly: a car club.)
