Hey guys,

One of my Hella Yellowstars(85W) blew over the weekend. I just put in some regular 55w Sulvania white h-3's....a steal at only 4.99 each.

I do want to upgrade to a "better" bulb. They did have them in 100W but thats WAY to high. Two 85's with the headlights was enough of a strain on the charging system, not to mention the heat(which has cracked the lenses).

I vowed not to do 85w's again, but I may. Any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards Raybrig Metal white h-3's which seem to be VERY close to HID look without that dipped in blue paint look. I found them online for like 60 some bucks. That seems crazy just for bulbs, but I may pay it.

So what do you guys like for h-3s?

Mike S.

I have Raybrig White Thunder bulbs in size H4 for my headlights and they are really awesome bulbs. I don't know about the H3's, but they should also be really good. If you want something cheaper, give Philips BluVision H3's in 55W a try. I currenlty have those for my fogs and they are pretty good. You can get the bluvisions at like K-Mart, but they are always sold out. Or, you can get them at www.autooptiks.com

Phillips BV H-3 bulbs

How come I can not find those bulbs here in Minneapolis?
Will someone be willing to buy them and send them to me if I send him/her money?

For some reason, K-Mart, et al. don't sell Phillips Blue Visions in the H-series, only the 900x series. follow the link given above to order online.....
