For a set like that, how much do you think they will end up selling for?
How much did you pay for what you have and what condition?
(JUST calipers)

I have a set that might be for sale. Included is Z32 calipers currently taken apart and ready for powdercoating or painting, rebuild kit, Jeff's BBK brackets, and Hubcentric rings for cobra rotors. These were orginally slated for iansw's car...but he wanted the aluminum ones I got, so we traded. He can probably tell you exactly what is in the rebuild kit as they are in his garage right now. Looking for about $250 for everything. I currently have a local guy that currently has dibs, but if it doesn't work out, they maybe available. Also note these aren't the aluminum ones.

If they indeed came off a 90 NON turbo 300z, then they are aluminum and they are the 26mm. The Auction says 89, thats wrong. The 1990 is the first year of that body style, the fourth-generation Z.
The 26mm only came in aluminum.
these appear to be the aluminum calipers.
They ahve the Sumitumo logo plus the shape where the lNissan logo is, is the dogbone shape not the two full circles like the iron calipers have.
I bet they go for close to 200.00 if not a bit over
those are aluminum. see the little fins around the edges? that's the easiest sign..
but they're also the 26mm ones. you need the 30mm for any of the Maxima brake conversions.
Nonetheless, expect ones like that- completely rebuilt and powdercoated- to go for 3-400 per pair.
I sell the reman aftermarket units for $300 a pair before powdercoating, then charge another 100 for powder. expect them to go for roughly the same on fleabay.

You can get the 26mm if your not going with a bigger rotor.
If you plan on using the bigger rotors, cobra or 04 maxima then you need the 30mm and the relocation brackets.
Be prepared though, going wiht such a large setup will be heavy.
Just going with my 300z setup, i could immedialty fell the difference. The heavier rotors up front definately effected my launches. The 300z rotors are quite a bit thicker then the OEM maxima rotors.
The 18's dont help either.
Eradispeed 2 pc cobra rotors
. Gotta pay if you want big and light rotors

So Im going to want;
30mm z32 aluminum calipers
matt or jeff's brackets / ss lines
Eradispeed 2 pc cobra rotors
Pads
New hub rings
Jeff, compatibility w/ a 2 pc rotor on a Maxima....uhh, sounds kinda different...would it work just the same on the Cobra?

If you use the Cobra rotors, you MUST use my brackets. Matt's won't work.
Why wouldn't it work on a Cobra? They are just the 2 pc versions of the oem rotor

I stand corrected.

Dubbya said he's got 26mm

What do you mean by "big"
The 26mm and 30mm are both 4 piston calipers.
Going with the Cobra rotors or 04 rotors and the z32 calipers is a "big" brake kit.
How much bigger are you looking for?
You got TWO bbk supplier guys telling you the 26mm versions won't work in your application but you are willing to get them because someone else happened to have them?
Ever consider you would just be repeating his mistake? Ever consider his using them in an diff application?

I basically posted to provide an idea of what 300z calipers can be found for out of a junkyard.

No!
bijangxe you have search privlages and your not using them.
The maxima rotor is way to thin even for the 26mm calipers.
You will need the 26mm 300z rotors for the 26mm calipers
bijangxe
If you do the 300z swap, you have two choices and you will need:
Choice 1_ 26mm 300z calipers + 280mm x 26mm 300z rotor + 240sx conversion lines
Choice 2_ 30mm 300z calipers + 280mm x 30mm 300z rotor + 240sx conversion lines
The 300z calipers will bolt into the maximas OEM caliper bracket.
You will need to use some washers if you use the maxima calipers bolts, if not the bolts are too long and will go through the bracket and will hit the rotor.
The rotors also have to be milled down, so not to hit the inside of the caliper.
You will also need to remove the heat sheild. The 300z rotors are much thicker then the maximas and they will rub the heatshield if you do not remove them.
You will also need to grind down the control arm a bit or the rotor will rub that as well.

Ah, but do yours have the following:
2 PAD RETAINING SPRINGS, 4 PAD PINS, 4 COTTER PINS
NEW PISTONS, SEALS, NEW BOOTS, NEW BOOT RETAINING RINGS, NEW BLEEDER SCREW
Thats how my set came, with all new hardware, but I didnt pay no 400 bux for them.
I think you could get around 2 bills for yours though.
So yeah I need to spend another $35 at the stealership to make my kit look like that one. I already have:
New Boots, Seals, Boot Retaining Rings. (The pics on ebay didnt show NEW pistons. Those were obviously just cleaned up.)
New bleeders are kind of a joke. The ones I have will work just as good. I could see that being a selling point if they were speed bleeders. I will polish mine up with the ole dremel.
