Where is the thermostat on the 4th gen. I followed the upper radiator hose to the drivers side of the engine and it goes into the back bank of plugs (or relaly close to it). The problem is that I am certain that is NOT where the thermostat is unless its .5" in diameter! I followed the lower hose to a spot JUST under the timing chain cover and to the front of the car and it looks like the place where you would find the thermostat. Any suggestions on this or the fluch I am going to do this weekend would be great.

What do I need to do the flush besides antifreeze and a big pan? Any flush product to clean the crud out...suggestions??

Thanks,
SHUMAX

It's the hose on the passenger side, you were right. It has an aluminum bracket/housing that the hose connects to. One of the bolts is tough to get to, but other than that it is pretty easy. Just make sure you have a small socket wrench. And so you know, if you get the Nissan part, it comes in that housing.
