I have talked my dealership into takeing orders on the 2002 Maxima from members of Maxima.org

All i need is $ 1000.00 down subject to price review and delevery.

September delevery of the 2002 Maxima will be hot... Smithtown Nissan WILL have MORE Maxima's then any other Tri-State NY, NJ, CT dealership around...

Let me know your interest...

And YES you will get the very best price...NOT MSRP...

See my Sig for hours and phone #

Thanks
DAN

Hmm, I may be very interested. I need to know the General pricing of the 02 max's first before I comet though. Whould it be possible for you to post the Base model MSRP pricing of a SE 6spd? That would be great! If you feel uncomfortable about posting it here then feel free to PM me. Thanks

Most dealers have between 35-80 Maximas in stock and sell at invoice. Granted you have to step up to get into their beloved "holdback," but Maximas do not sell. Why put $1000 down? Buying a Max is a matter of going in Sat afternoon p/u Monday. What diff does it make who has more cars, it's who will sell for a TRUE $200 over cost.

Why 2002?

Thanks for the advanced info, bluefish. Though I am a doubting Thomas in regards to the 6-speed trans.

Nevertheless, why bother with the 2002 when 2003 next gen platform is coming up? I don't see anyone putting out MSRP or invoice or whatever price on a 2002 and take a big hit when the 2003 comes out. Unless of course, you're a salesman and your company is forking over the $$ for a one year lease. In that case, more power to you.

Just keep in mind that bluefish is a car salesman. Like pmar said in the post above, "Why put $1000 down? Buying a Max is a matter of going in Sat afternoon p/u Monday. What diff does it make who has more cars, it's who will sell for a TRUE $200 over cost."

i just have one question...in the letter you posted, it said the body of the 2002 will be modified. many people have been saying that 2003 will have a completely redesigned body style with the same 3.5L engine and goodies. Is the 2003 still going to be redesigned if they are changing the looks of the 2002??
