There's an S2000 locally that has the same Comptech SC setup and the other basic bolt-ons only putting down 260 rwhp. Hmm.. he's putting down 290+?

if he's only putting down 260, there's something definately wrong with his car... the lowest I've seen is mid 270... I saw this in person. Most people are in the 290s.

I don't know if he would run me again, but I would like to run again after I get the reprogrammed ECU in. I don't expect anymore peak power out of it, but the extra 500 rpms to rev will mean 10-15 average more hp per gear.

On the Comptech, I keep hearing people talk about versions. I hear that some versions detonate and others seem to fix the problem. I don't know what they don for the fuel management, but I believe it is related.

He did tell me that Honda doesn't understand how to make a front engine RWD car and underengineered everything. He said there are a lot of problems with the transmission and Honda has TSBs on them. He said the synchros and blocking rings were all worn out on his, first and second gears were completely worn and third was chipped. He also said the differential blew up, so he went to Comptech since they have the only upgrade. Keep this in mind before you do the upgrade.

I'm thinking about boosting the S2K... but the only real option is the comptech right now and it's got issues. I think I am going to wait it out a little to see what's going on... they are sorting out some issues, one of which is the tyical boosted honda problems of the MAP seeing boost...
