My sales rep told me that Nissan has a way to basically order a copy of your original window sticker. I havent been able to find anything online. Anyone know if this is true? I would be very surprised if it was true. My insurance co is being a PITA about getting discounts for side airbag, etc.

 

If it doesn't have to be the exact window sticker, I can fax you a copy of mine since we both have th TE package which I believe includes side airbags.

 

Not sure that this will help. Those window stickers are called Maroney stickers. Yea, Nissan can send you one, and I think the chap there has a great idea. Borrow his. BTW, your vin should serve plenty well enough. If they pull that, or even call Nissan themselves with that, Nissan will provide them with all the info they need. Now go get your discounts!

 

You can print a window sticker from some web sites. Just enter your VIN and all your cars info will come up. Try KBB or just do a search. Your insurance Co. can pull your cars info up just as easily as well.

Crazy thing is this is the monster Met Life. Thru my work I get an extra 11% discount and MA has serious restrictions as to what companies can provide auto insurance so there is nothing out there cheaper.

I will call them better armed with info. We'll see how this goes...

 

You were having trouble with MetLife? Hmm.. that's weird.. I have them too and when I got my Maxi in October I had no issues getting the discount.. I called them up.. the put in VIN asked a couple of questions and Viola! All good to go..

Only problem I had was them putting on the discount for Lo-Jack.. they told me they had put it on, but when I got mailing of policy info it wasn't there so I called them back and they fixed it and retro-acted the previous months where they had messed up

 

just to gloat...

My 96 max that I bought from the first owner of it specially ordered the black on black leather w/ a 5 spd from his local dealer in 1996. He was at the dealership when they rolled the max off the trailer. By doing this, he kept the original factory sticker before they could even peel off the adhesive backing...I just think thats an emotional story...

I think I'm going to peel off the adhesive backing and stick it on my window....

 

That is awesome. Go ahead and peel that adhesive off, put it on your window and confuse the crud out of multiple drivers. Now I would pay to see that. Also add the ugly neon stickers on your windshield saying "Can be yours for $500 under invoice"
