i mounted mine to the metal beam inside the bumper, double sided tape will peel after time mine are nice and snug. as for my wiring, i bought the fogs in a kit so the wiring was real simple... i had to run 2 wires through the firewall, from the battery and th wiring from the fogs... the kit makes it nice where you hook up the fog lights to each other and to the switch

So are you saying you did drill into the metal? I have the double sided tape with the PIAA's and I can use it if it is weather proof. I don't want to attach it to the bumper because the paint will peel with the tape.

be careful with double sided tape. unfortunately, there are a lot of punks that steal nice fog/driving lights. i had some piaas on my old maxima that were screwed into the bottom bumper, and some punk decided it would be nice to rip them out.

i think the proper procedure when drilling metal is that you DON'T run the bit at a very hi-speed. contrary to what a lot of people think, for drilling into hard metals, you have to run the drill slow. i have drilled sheet metal, stainless steel, a metal door -- all using the drill at a slow speed. if you burn the bit by going too fast, game over for that bit.
dunno if it makes a difference, but you might use a hex head instead of a screw head? maybe its less likely that punks carry sockets sets?
good luck installing your lights.

deezo you might be thinking of anthony, ny96maxse he has the 12" solo eclipse in the middle of his trunk... man when i put my fogs in, the drilling took a while... i took off that plastic shield underneath, put the fog where i wanted it to be, used a black marker to mark where the screws would go... then it was a pain getting through the metal... hard to like the drill up straight.. i have mine on the bottom piece outside its a 95... if you want pics let me know i can take them with my digital camera.. it wasnt bad laying on my back drilling, because i was in my garage laying on one of those lounge chair cushions so my back wasnt killing me

drill
i drilled my fogs into the bar just inside of the bumper
it is better to do that because if you drill it, people cant steal it
if they try to pull it out, the fogs will break, but if you just stick it on, it is a lot easier to steal
