That might be national stats, but the theft rates differ in different cities. So, I'm sure in some big cities, Maximas are huge theft targets. But yeah, Camrys and Accords are popular because their parts can be used in many other cars, such as most GM's.

inconclusive. Guarantee that list is made up of cars actually stolen and not percentage of cars sold, that were stolen.

for instance:

36? Mclaren F1s were sold
If 18 of them are stolen...it would have a 50% theft rate...

200,000 89 Toyota Camrys are sold
45,000 are stolen...22.5% theft rate.

Which car is gonna be higher up... the Camry will be cause more cars were stolen, but 1 out of 2 F1s are being stolen. I would say the F1 is a high theft car over the Camry.

inconclusive.

Hey! I'm the one with the "dust magnet" Maxima! Hehe...just kidding. Glad to see I'm not the only with a dirty black car.

camrys
looks like the 88-91 camrys were prime targets, either they are easy to steal, lack of security , or they have parts that are easily sold and used in other vehicles.

cali
here in s. cali most people steal late model accords, civics, maximas, and BMW's, not many go for the early model camrys and such.
