Pepboys is having a huge sale on pennzoil motor oil. 1 case (12) is originally 22.48. there is a $7.48 rebate.

When a case (12) of pennzoil is bought with 2 filters of any brand, you are eligible for a $10 mfg. rebate.

The purolator filters are originally $1.99, only 1 cent after $1.98 rebate.

So heres the math:
Pennzoil: 22.68-7.20mail in rebate-$10.00 mfg. rebate when bought with 2 filters=$5.48
Filters: 2 filters at $1.99 each with $1.98 mail in rebate per filter=$.02

5.48+.02=$5.50 for 12 quarts of pennzoil with 2 purolator filters.

The downside: you need to send in all the rings around the bottle necks (use pliers to remove w/o opening). Also, I used a padded envelope and had to pay $0.66 for shipping.

The upside: I received the rebate promptly. I think it took 4 weeks.

Sounds like a good deal if you like Pennzoil. I prefer Castrol GTX so I'll have to pass on that deal.

 

If it took you 4 weeks to get the refund, how do you know Pepboys is still having the sale? Is it a manufacturer rebate that expires at some point?

I rather go with amsoil and OEM filter, but you can't deny the price of 12 quarts of oil and the oil filters... 12 quarts of amsoil and 2 OEM filters would be like... almost $100!

 

btw, i didnt do the deal, just copying and posting it...

 

ill stick to OEM filter + Mobil 1 10w30 synthec. that sounds like a steal tho

 

I wouldn't use Penzoil/Quaker State if it was free.

 

but water is free
