JDM Power folding Mirror guys, please step in.

How did you guys wire these up? Is there a diagram somewhere? I have a 4th gen, but I have seen 5th genners with em also. Didn't want to exclude anyone. Thanks for the help.

should be real easy...wire the power wire up to something that comes on when you start the car....ie cig. lighter plug. Mirrors should fold out upon starting the car and fold once car is turned off...oh and use a relay

Well, these are the JDM ones. They have a plug and play harness, but not for our cars. It isn't like a universal mirror with power and ground for the flip up. I read somewhere there is a diagram or instructions on how to get them to fold and what to splice into the stock power mirror harness.

Thanks though nupe .

I realize that the harness is not for our cars, but you'll still need to figure out which one is power/ground and controls the mirror prior to moving forward, and you'll very likely have to splice it in. Now I don't have experience with said mirror, just thinking about how to easily get this done.

No prob....where did you find the mirrors?

I bought them from a vendor on the forums who had one left for himself and sold me his. Either way, they are the ones that sycefiro sells, but complete OEM look. No turn signal part. How does one go about figuring this out though?

There are 5 wires going into the back of a female connector. I can easily cut that connector and strip down the 5 wires. Now, from here, what do you recommend I do? These 5 wires all have different colors with the exception of two. For arguments sake: Green, Blue, Yellow, Brown, and Two Oranges.

Where would you start? Armed with a test light and the factory connector available also, lol. I thought each color would represent a direction. The two oranges would be power and ground (interchangeable) that control flip closed and flip open. What do you think?

I've heard of people simply splicing them into the factory wiring and they worked with the supplied switch with that extra "fold" button.

They look exactly like OEM mirrors. Difference is there is a line toward the end of the mirror. After this line, the reflection off the mirror is sort of compact? It elminates blind spots basically. That is the only difference. That and they fold up.

Duh...I didn't know they came with their own switch....first thing to do is pull out your current switch and check the harnesses. Once you've done that you'll have a better idea of how to proceed. If the colors on your new mirrors match the old ones then you obviously know where those go. Do a search if Sy or anyone else posted how they installed these. Not having them in front/visual is making this a bit more difficult.

I have seen these before on other cars, almost every car in europe has this because of the narrow roads. Very cool though...how much are they with the switch and everything? Put up some pics of the mirror so I can see that line you were talking about, thanks.

Yeah they came pre painted. Ask Harry from Paradox or sycefiro for them. They will run you like $400.

I'm trying this write up tonight:

http://www.sr20forum.com/archive/index.php/t-89792.html

Wish me luck. More of these will be available possibly if people are interested. I will get pics once it all gets installed.

I'm the only 4th gen on here with these? No wiring info? What's up?

Do they look any different from oem? Is there a way to get just the motors and switch and put it in the oem mirrors if you take them apart. $400 just seems like alot for a mod that only works when parked.

Well I can flip the switch anytime I want. While i'm double parked, someone passing my car, etc. And I love the price for these. Because more people will think like you, less people will have them, and people like me steal the show at meets being the only ones with these.

$400 is a lot, don't buy em. They look just like OEM except the end part of the actual mirror is a little bit concave so it completely eliminates blindspots. Can't wait til they are in. I'm going to try that write up for the b13s tonight finally. Probably take some pics of the whole vehicle this weekend.

Do they sell these mirror lenses separately? Since the housings are the same, would they fit our housings?
