Hey guys. so sorry about the delay in testing..

uprd is undergoing some major projects for the upcoming SEMA shows, so we've been shoved onto the back burner temporarily.

just to let you know, i aquired an 96 ECU to test on my car, and i'll be heading over to UPRD either on Wednesday or Thursday of next week to get the new clayton and Dynojet readings.

Part numbers for the 96 SE ecus are a bit wacko,

they range from
B6 -> B7
A18-XXX XXX

the one i got is A18 -O85 - EYi

i got mine for $150.00,

but don't worry! I've secured around 10 96 SE ecus (6 autos, 4 or so 5spds) from a local junkyard, that i'll have available for sale to those who want a separate ecu (i.e. the 97 owners, and those in 95/96s that wish to have separate ecus for this mod)

we've gotten around 11 orders so far, and need 14 more to get the lowest price ($425 with shipping included)

turn around time, if i can get the spare ecus in time, have them pre-programmed and sent out once we get your ecu, should be around 3-4 business days (via overnite express/fed ex)

if you've got a 95 or 96 maxima, and you'd like to order the UPRD ecu, all you have to do is sign up with me, those with 97s, just hold up until i get my car tested. 98s & 99s, well. it's gonna be a sad day 99s for sure won't work, because of the strict emission control units on the computer, but Tony (1Max2NV) is working on that with Authority Systems..)

i'll be testing my UPRD'd ecu in a 98, but keep your finger's crossed, because that has the electronic odometer stuff in it.

for further information on ordering, or clayton dyno info, please goto the info link i have in my signature.

thanks again,

Cheston

Yet another tear is wept for my 99 ... I hate CAL/NLEV emissions!!! But oh well... So what are the odds for the 96ECU working on mine I mean has it even been tried yet?

From what I have read here no but I had heard before that it worked but that I think was a FED model...

I'm in on this once the '97 testing is finished.

Thanks Cheston for finding those '96 ECU's. Makes it so much simpler for us.

Say we get 10 '97 drivers in on this. Then only 4 more sales get's us the best discount

Dude, if the numbers hold true on the 97'& 98' models thats pretty damm good for 30hp at the wheels, thats $20 per hp. Examples , y-pipe $~350 or more = less than ~12hp at the wheels or $29 per hp, CAI $250 = less than ~10hp at the wheels or $25 per hp, SC ~3500 = ~75hp? at the wheels or $47 per hp. The only one that out does it is NOS, ~55hp at the wheels = $650 or $12 per hp.

So whats the big deal!

*Disclaimer, HP and price are approximate values but they are in the ball park, so no flames please.

Re: ummm

thanks.

just tryin' to keep this deal alive and tryin to ignore insignificant posts

as for a realism of actual date of shipment on these things, i'd say by end of october or early Novemeber for when this deal should be in full swing..

Hey Ches, is it going to be available for a 99 non-Cali maxima? Also, does this remove the top speed limiter (governor)? Thanks

So refresh my memory...

Didn't Biomax try something like that with the '96 ECM or something like that before in his '97? I don't remember what the deal was, but there was some reason he didn't pursue it further.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for us!

Re: So refresh my memory...

yeah i think i read that somewhere, but i thought he put in a 95 ecu...

the difference i think might be the code that UPRD uses compared to JWTs.. but.. we'll see..

and NO WOODEaR, i haven't gotten the dynos yet.. sheesh!
