Remote Max Starter
#1
Has anyone put a remote starter on a 5th generation Max? According to Nissan the Max keys are specially encoded each time you leave the car so only those keys can start the car again. Presumably without the microchip signal, the computer disables the car from starting. Therefore, if you put a remote starter on, wont the comp still look for the key? Now that there are starters for manual cars, I am looking into it.

That is true but when i was at my mechanic's place to get my remote start install, there was this guy there to get a remote start to for his 2001 ford expedition which also comes with speacially encoded keys. so i asked my mechanic how would he do this and he told me that they sell this special device that you hook up to your car starting system and when u remote start it makes the car computer believe that the keys are in the keyhole so at last yes it is possible to add a remote start to the cars which has encoded keys....hope this helps...
p.s. if you in NY area i could give you his #...let me know
